Schools are at the forefront of supporting children seeking sanctuary and their families and as the centres of our communities, they have a powerful reach. By being places of belonging, understanding and compassion, schools play a vital role in building welcoming communities and offering support to those seeking safety.
School by school, the Schools of Sanctuary programme empowers schools to effectively support children seeking safety and foster cultures of welcome. Help us to achieve this – donate now.
We are a network of over 425 awarded schools, nurseries and Sixth Forms and every day we receive enquiries from new schools or requests for support from schools receiving their first refugee or asylum-seeking sanctuary.
With your support, we can make this network even stronger.
Every penny you give will help us to ensure the sustainability of the stream, as well as providing vital resources, expert advice and the practical support schools need to build expertise and provision to support students seeking safety and combat misinformation around migration – and much, much more.
Unlike other schools’ programmes and award schemes, we offer all of this to schools for FREE. To help us sustain our work, we ask every school to make a donation – we suggest £50 for primary schools and £75 for secondary schools. Donate now.
