Refugee Week 2020 kicks off on 15 June, and children and young people everywhere are invited to take part, at school or at home. The festival is happening virtually for the first time this year and the theme is ‘Imagine’, which is an invitation to all of us to share the future we want to see.

Refugee Week is an opportunity to learn about, stand with and celebrate the contributions of refugees, and thousands of young people get involved across the country every year.

Young people can celebrate Refugee Week in all kinds of ways! To get started, teachers and families can take a look at the Refugee Week 2020 Children & Young People’s pack, which has a range of creative activities and resources for ages 5-18, including short films, creative writing resources and making activities.

There will also be a range of virtual events for children and families taking place throughout Refugee Week – visit the Refugee Week website to explore the programme.
