In this one hour meeting, we share details of the resources and opportunities schools can take part in during Refugee Week. This includes the Refugee Week Children’s Pack and a Day of Welcome. We also share some suggested activities to make this Refugee Week meaningful and ask schools to participate in the BIG Refugee Week Fundraiser.

The presentation includes contributions from a Sanctuary Ambassador and recently awarded School of Sanctuary.

CoS UK and Refugee Week partnered with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and the National Education Union (NEU) to offer this online event giving an overview of how to support the wellbeing of students from sanctuary seeking backgrounds.
The Bell Foundation organised and hosted this event with speakers from Refugee Education UK, Nottingham Education Sanctuary Team and Schools of Sanctuary to share top tips for schools.

CoS UK hosted a webinar “What is a School of Sanctuary?“ which provided an overview of the Schools of Sanctuary Stream, and showcased some examples of how schools have expressed welcome and solidarity with refugees in their settings.
